I heart ART!

It absolutely amazes me how everywhere we look there is art! 

Be it a building or a sign, a haircut or a piece of clothing...

It's all a form of art.

On my search for interesting creative things I bumped into these:

Rock art.

At first, I thought to myself how odd these crochet rocks were but, I found myself going back to the images over and over.

There is something simple and lovely about them that keeps catching my eye.

Upon further search, I found a few more images of rock art.

Pearl Knotting

I heart to create! 

My favorite medium to use = beads

A good friend of mine, Noelia, taught me how to Pearl Knot a few weeks ago 

and,

since then, 

I have been dreaming of all the cool jewelry 

I am going to make.

Here is what she taught me:

First, you need pearls... 

there are so many sizes, shapes & colors... 

just choose the ones you like!

Next, you will need:

2 crimps, 2 u clasps, crimping pliers, tweezers & silk thread

TIP *you can also use liquid stitch to strengthen the knots if you like

OKAY

Here we go!

Take the silk string 

TIP *I buy mine with the needle already threaded

On the fresh end of the string, you will have the starting knot,

thread on 1 crimp.  

Take 1 u clasp, thread it on the string creating a loop as shown below.

Make sure when you are done threading the u clasp to also thread the needle back through the crimp.

 Then, take the crimping pliers and fasten the crimp in place.

(this starts the beginning of any necklace)

Now you are ready to start adding beads!

take the first bead - string it on tight up against the crimp.

Hello Summer!

4th of July usually marks the beginning of summer for me...

Around this time, I start to work out more, eat less and get 

ready for my favorite fashion buy.

~ bathing suits ~

Searching for the perfect cut, style, color and fit can pose to be quite a task...

I always depend on Victoria's Secret to start 

the creative juices flowing 

& to help me narrow down my search.

So far this year, these are some of my favorites!

and.... I love the price!

With a new bathing suit,

 you have to have a fabulous cover-up.

How sad for a little girl to have to take the brunt of the 

irresponsibility 

of her mother...

Casey knows what happened to her little girl... 

weather she killed her or 

an accident happened,

 she is still dead.

Casey cares more about her own life than her daughter's or 

she would have confessed to what 

REALLY 

happened.

The death penalty would have been the easy way out...

 now, she has to live a long life where 

everyone in the world knows her

and the daily shame of her daughters death 

happening in vein.

Happy 4th of July!!!!!!

When I was a kid, we used to plan for the 4th of July weekend for weeks.

I loved when my mom and I would go shopping for all of the food together.  

We always had a huge spread of all the great picnic things and it was a lot of fun to go to the beach to partake in the weekend festivities.

We used to go to Schroon Lake, NY.

You could swim all day.  Eat great food.  Walk around town.  Watch the parade.  Eat again... 

Then came the show!
