Who wants to go to McDonalds???

I saw this and was so disgusted!

How can our government think this is OKAY?

YUCK!

Can You Guess What McDonald’s

Food Item This Is?

Say hello to "Mechanically Separated Chicken".

It’s what all fast-food chicken is made – things like chicken nuggets and patties.

In addition, the processed frozen chicken in the stores is made from it.

Basically, the ENTIRE chicken is smashed and pressed through a sieve —

bones, eyes, guts, and all.

It comes out looking like this.

There’s more: because it’s CRAWLING WITH BACTERIA,

it will be WASHED with ammonia,

soaked in it, actually.

Then, because it tastes GROSS, it will be reflavored artificially.

Finally, since it is

weirdly pink, it will be dyed with artificial color.

People still eat this and feed it to their children!

I vow from this day on,

I will NEVER eat another processed chicken anything!

This is totally disgusting!

Shame on you RONALD!

Have to share...

For over a month now, I have been transforming my diet and workout.

A friend introduced S & I to these delicious shakes
& I had to share them because I am in LOVE!

If you are looking for something to help get your
body in shape along with lessen
the burden of figuring out what
to have for breakfast & lunch,
this shake is perfect!

It is the Vi-Shape shake by ViSalus Science.

Not only are you introducing a schedule to your eating habits
but, you are adding the proper nutrients that you need to
keep your body preforming at it's best.

I run in the morning - 2mi./3 days a week
come home
& do sit-ups,
push-ups/other exercises.
Then, make my shake!

It is so simple!
S & I bought 2 little single serve blenders.
*mine is pink :)
We go to the grocery store Sundays and pick out
our fresh fruit,
granola & nuts for the week.

Then, Viola!

The powder tastes like cake batter.
(not too sweet like all the other shake options out there)
You add your choice of milk.
(I use almond)
3 ice cubes, 2 scoops of shake
& what ever fruit, granola, nuts you like.

I look forward to it every morning & sometimes
I also make one for lunch!

I have leaned down, feel better & am 100% in LOVE with these shakes!

The line has many other options if you
want to add vitamins etc too.

Try them out and let me know what you think!

In my travels for looking for art of all kinds
and stories that put a tingle in my spine,
I found this...

"100 years later, Denmark's Little Mermaid Gets a New Gentleman Friend"

Seems to be that in Denmark,
 there is quite a "celebrity"
 that has been bringing tourists
to her side for over
100 years.

In 1913, Carl Jacobsen of Carlsberg breweries
presented the city of Copenhagen with
The Little Mermaid Statue.
(She was placed at a test site in 1912)

Sculptor Edvard Erichsen was commissioned to create a statue of dancer Ellen Price
who appeared in the "The Little Mermaid"- Fini Henriques' ballet in 1909.

Much like the Disney story - The Little Mermaid,
the story behind Copenhagen's Little Mermaid is very similar but with a different ending.
In Christian Andersen's poem she gives her tongue to a witch in trade,
to become human so that she could join
her love and live on land.

The Mermaid never actually marries her prince and this
statue represents her living as a mute, unable to walk without pain &
sitting on the waters edge reminiscing over
her childhood / loss of her life as a mermaid.
~ She gave it all up for love ~

It is quite a sad story, and many people visit her to see her aching presence.
It has become one of the most coveted tourist sites.

Seeing I love the Disney movie The Little Mermaid,
this story really interested me.

When you add to it that she now has an admirer from afar.
That is really cool to me!

"100 years later, Denmark's Little Mermaid Gets a New Gentleman Friend"
(Daily Traveler)

It seems there has been another commissioned piece to add to the story.

A modern sculpture of a boy whom is being placed in Elsinore's harbor to pine after her!

His name is Han.

They call him her "secret admirer".

He is made of polished stainless steel
once an hour he will blink for a split second.

This modern sculpture has an internal hydraulic system
that will enable him to appear human.

Adding to the story is amazing but also
adding such a high tech touch
to the boy is very clever!

An artist duo - Elmgreen & Dragset
are the masterminds behind Han.

Hans will appear June 2, 2012 for all to see.

I hope I get to see them both one day.

Until then, I am adding them to my bucket list.

Easter...

It's that time of year again.

Spring has arrived bringing us
the vibrant colors & warmth of summer.

As we brush off the chill of the winter weather
& pack away our sweaters and coats
we welcome the new bloom
that comes with the mark of Easter.

Every year we spend time with family &
cook to our hearts content while
enjoying our faith/traditions.

ie: the usual dying of eggs & hiding of the basket.

I can remember getting chicks & bunnies
as easter gifts when I was a little girl.
I saw this image today and thought, wouldn't it be great
if they really looked like this?

or, wouldn't it be great to get a baby bunny this year???

Then, I heard a voice telling me
to stop the images dancing in my head
of dying chicks in my kitchen sink.

So, I moved on to search for yummy foods I could make this weekend.

here we go...

MY FAVORITES!

Agreed, food is much safer than watching my cats stalk
a baby bunny
or
having drips of food coloring
all over from a wiggly little chick.
(I am kidding - really!)

I hope you all have fun making delicious food and deserts this year.
Be safe, have a good time & be thankful for another year of family & health.

HAPPY EASTER!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Not sure if you know, but I work from home.

Yes, most of the time in my pjs.

Today, I was a little under the weather
& needed something to keep me going.

Usually when that happens, I go to Itunes
& look around for something great to listen to.

Today though, I was reading my usual morning news &
saw that the 47th Annual ACM Awards were on TV last night.

(I seem to ALWAYS miss these award shows for some reason)

Anywhoo, I started looking around on WonderWall
to see what people were wearing to the awards,
& I found myself looking
up a few bands that I had not heard of
before on Itunes.

I generally am not a lover of Country Music.
But, the next artists that came up I knew.
I have heard a few of their songs in the past,
 but I never really
knew how talented they are.

 Before I knew it,
I was downloading their cd
- Own the Night -
and, I listened to it all day long!

Lady Antebellum
They won Top Vocal Group of the Year

WHAT AMAZING VOICES THEY HAVE!
I am addicted!
&, had to share
